Saga Fest is a multi-day music and arts festival in southern Iceland focused on transformation through the power of stories. Musicians of varied genres performed (Robot Koch, Axel Flovent, Sísý Ey, Soffía Björg, Ylja…) and gave insight into their lives. Contributing artists produced installations that moved us (one artist collective recorded participants’ heartbeats and produced a track to sing live to). Throughout the day, participants enjoyed workshops (meditation, dance, permaculture, shamanism, skateboard design…) and food prepared by local farmers, organic chefs and fishermen. Each night ended with communal fireside storytelling and songs.
